VC of CKT-UTAS Paid a Courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Navrongo Traditional Area

August 2, 2020, was a good and memorable day that the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eric Magnus Wilmot, and Registrar, Dr. V. A. Ankamah-Lomotey, exploited to be able to pay a courtesy call on his Majesty, Navro Pio, Pe Denis Aniakwo Balinia Adda Asagipaare II.

The Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar, from the day of the conversion of the Navrongo Campus of the University for Development Studies to CKT-UTAS, have been looking forward to paying a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Navrongo Traditional Area, until today when the opportunity brought itself. This visit was to introduce themselves to the Overlord of the land and also to establish a cordial relationship between the two institutions. More importantly, this courtesy call was not only to establish a cordial relationship with the traditional leaders of the area but was also to seek for the anticipated support of his Majesty towards the development of the newly established University in his Traditional area.

The two Management staff of CKT-UTAS was warmly welcomed by His Majesty, Pe Denis Aniakwo Balinia Adda Asagipaare II, to his Palace. He was very happy about their visit and added that it was in the right direction to enhance the existing relationship for the benefit of the Community.  Below is a picture of the Management staff with his Majesty at the Palace.
